Join us on Wednesday, September 30, as Trellis Supportive Care hosts best-selling author Mitch Albom for our 5th annual Living Your Best Life Speaker Series! After the success of Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Mitch will speak on his latest book, Finding Chika. This memoir shares how a young orphan in Haiti changed his life and his understanding of family – teaching valuable lessons that can help us all live our best lives.
Trellis Supportive Care’s first priority is always compassion for those we serve, whether that be our patients and their families, or our community at large. With this in mind, we will host 2020’s Speaker Series virtually, in lieu of our usual in-person event. We look forward to this opportunity to collectively celebrate the hospice mission and our community.
To share this message of hope, we are waiving the event’s ticket price this year, but we need your support now more than ever. No matter what else is happening in the world, we are committed to delivering expert care for our patients. We ask that you consider a donation that will directly impact patients and families we serve.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER SERIES
Our speaker series is designed to provide “a message that if followed, will bring about a life changing experience.” For four years, this community luncheon has been bringing some of the best speakers in the country to Winston-Salem to help people think, reflect and make positive changes. This year’s virtual event will be just as powerful.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT IT MEANS TO BE FAMILY
Mitch Albom, our 2020 speaker, will be talking about his new book Finding Chika, and how his encounter with a young orphan in Haiti changed his life and his understanding of what it means to be a family. This is a powerful message of hope and resilience – important lessons that can help us all to live our best lives.
Our speaker series would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. And there are many perks to becoming a sponsor including recognition on our website, social media and during the live event. Please consider becoming a sponsor today. For more information, click here.
